Habits Of Jesus

Mark 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Have you ever wondered what's the best habits you could have that Jesus practiced?

The type of habits that allow you to please God the most by helping you build enormous faith in His word?

If you said yes, then you might enjoy this article about the seven most important faith building practices of Jesus that allowed Him to do all the miraculous faith based things that He did.

#1 MEDITATE TO LEARN GOD'S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Jesus hints at the fact that you'll obtain eternal life by believing and accepting everything that is written in the Bible and by accepting Him as your Lord and Savior, which the Bible clearly testifies about.

You'll learn more about Him, and how to be like Him as well.

The fact is, Jesus searched, found and read about Himself in the Scriptures.

And you can do it too.

You can find your destiny by building faith in the word of God.

God has a plan for your life, and you can search the Scriptures to find out what He wants you to know, say, and do.

Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

#2 PRAY TO RECEIVE WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO HAVE.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

By reading the Bible and building faith in the word of God and believing it, you're able to ask and receive what you need in the name of Jesus and by the grace of God.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

#3 FAST TO RECEIVE MORE AUTHORITY IN PRAYER.

Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Fasting is a practice that helps get your faith to a much higher level than normal.

High enough to overcome tougher challenges in life that under normal circumstances would be impossible.

But they're really miracles from God working through your improved faith in His word.

This allows your prayers to become more powerful.

Stronger, better, and even faster.

Matthew 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered.

Fasting with the right prayer is how Jesus performed so many miracles.

He even said, you can do greater things than He did.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

#4 GIVE TO THE POOR AND BUILD A TREASURE IN HEAVEN.

Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

Life is full of wonderful things that God has created for us to enjoy.

He wants us to be happy and have nice things just like any parent wants the best for their children.

He only asks that you put Him and His kingdom first by sharing things with the people who need them more. That way you can receive all of His blessings by faith in His word, and not in your own ability to get money or accumulate stuff.

He's good to us all, you can see how merciful He is to the wicked and the unjust as well as the righteous and faithful.

A rich man could with hold more than what's right from the poor, or he could be generous in giving and caring.

And a poor man could steal and take the name of the Lord in vain, or he could ask and wait patiently on the Lord.

But, why should you accumulate things and make money your focus, forget about the will of God, and ignore the poor and needy?

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

#5 ATTEND CHURCH TO WORSHIP GOD WITH COMMUNITY.

Matthew 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.

The Bible says that Jesus Customarily Read The Scriptures In The Synagogues on the Sabbath days. (Luke 4:16)

It pleases God when His people come together to worship Him and help each other out of tough situations in the community.

It's also a place of prayer, additional learning of God's word, and testimony for encouragement.

The Church is the house of the Lord.

Psalms 22:25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

#6 TITHE TO HELP EXPAND THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Luke 21:4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Some Christians believe in tithing and offering, and some don't.

But rather you believe in it or not, how can you argue against giving money for the expansion of the church outreach to spread the word of God and help the poor and needy?

Giving a percentage or portion of your money to expand church is faith based, it's also up to you, if you don't believe in it, then it probably won't work for you anyway.

In fact some people give less and some give more than ten percent.

But according to Jesus The Poor Giving Widow Woman (Luke 21:1-4) gave all that she had, one hundred percent, and Jesus said she cast in more than they all because she demonstrated more faith.

And you know it takes more faith to give a higher percentage of what you have, because you must trust God more to provide for your needs.

God is so good that even if the church leaders are abusing the offerings, He would still bless you for having a heart that's in the right place.

And likewise they'll be punished for their actions.

So why worry about that?

#7 TEACH TO BECOME GREAT IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In this verse Jesus was talking about teaching the commandments written in the books of the law and the prophets, that they studied in those times.

Of course we have a lot more books of the Bible to teach from these days.

And it's better to do and teach everything that's written in the Bible, than it is to pick and choose what you agree with or consider to be too hard because of what everybody else is doing.

But if you can teach enough to bring people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior, then you're winning.

Because that's the ultimate goal, to help people get saved and go to heaven when they die and spread the good word so others can be saved.

And because this is God's will, this is what He wants us to do.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
